Barry is currently teaching screenwriting at Flying Turtle Productions at Abbey School of Drama and also does script coverage for screenwriters. He returned to acting in 2017 playing Mark Anthony in Julius Caesar at the Atlas Performing Arts center in Washington DC.

Barry has also written feature screenplays for Artisan/Summit and Dreamworks and, completed rewrites for Workhorse Films, Parallel Pictures and Touchstone

Meadhbh McHugh, MFA Playwriting Graduate, 2013

Meadhbh’s first full-length play, Helen and I, directed by Annabelle Comyn, Resident Director at The Lir, was produced in 2016 at Druid Theatre Company in Galway and at the Dublin Theatre Festival. It was short-listed for the 2016 Stewart Parker Award.

Meadhbh is collaborating with Annabelle again on the adaptation of Louise O’Neill’s novel Asking for It which premieres in The Everyman in June 2018. It will also run at the Abbey Theatre in November 2018.
