‘The Lir at Work’ is an exciting new programme that transfers the skills and techniques used by world-leading actors to enhance personal presence in business. 

Working with our international partner, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), whose commercial arm RADA in Business has provided world-class communication and personal impact training to some of the world’s leading businesses for nearly 20 years, we are pleased to announce three full-day courses in top-level communications skills training - now available to businesses in Ireland.

The Lir at Work training focuses on enhancing an individual’s personal presence, their ability to communicate and to have meaningful impact and influence. Business people and actors face similar demands: both need to communicate what they are saying to their audience with clarity and change the way they feel about it. The Lir at Work approach to trains the whole body, breath and voice, through practical exercises and a focus on technique. The training is entirely practice-based and designed to help business people learn and develop, building confidence, self-awareness and flexibility.

Three one-day courses are now available via The Lir at Work: Personal Impact, Storytelling in Business and Presenting Made Brilliant.  The Lir at Work provides in-house training in the workplace to small groups of eight and is now open for bookings. 

Profits generated from this new joint-venture are gift-aided back into the respective academies, meaning businesses booking courses with The Lir at Work are also supporting the next generation of world-class theatre-makers. 

The Lir Academy is Ireland’s National Academy of Dramatic Art providing training to an international standard of excellence in all aspects of theatre education for stage and screen. The Lir opened in 2011 with The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) as international partners.  Five years on, The Lir and RADA’s commercial-arm RADA in Business join forces again to offer world-class communication and personal impact training to people in business.
