Screen Acting - Level 3
10 weeks
This 10-week programme is for actors who either have screen acting experience or who have completed Screen Acting - Level 2.
Overview
Screen Acting Level 3 is an advanced, camera-focused, scene-study course for actors who have completed Screen Acting Levels 1 and 2 or equivalent training or experience. This level challenges participants to integrate all prior learning and deliver truthful, detailed, and professional-standard performances for film and television.
This 10-week course centres on intensive scene work using contemporary screen scripts. Through practical, applied workshops.
The training focuses on how subtle internal impulses translate to screen, how stillness and specificity heighten impact, and how actors adjust performance for shot size, framing, and continuity. Improvisation is used to unlock spontaneity and freedom while remaining grounded within the technical demands of screen performance.
This course reflects the actor’s development across all levels of the programme, demonstrating their ability to fully inhabit given circumstances, sustain truthful behaviour under camera scrutiny, analyse text and subtext, and make bold, specific, and integrated performance choices for screen.
