Culture Night at The Lir Academy

This Culture Night, step inside The Lir, National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin – Ireland’s centre for training the next generation of theatre-makers, actors, technicians, creatives, and designers.

Throughout the evening, visitors can drop in for workshops, demonstrations, and guided tours that pull back the curtain on the vibrant world of stagecraft. From acting and directing to the often unseen magic of set, costume, and lighting design, tutors and students from The Lir Academy will be on hand to share their expertise and offer a rare, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the craft of theatre-making.

Whether you’re an aspiring performer, a curious theatre-goer, or simply looking for an inspiring stop on your Culture Night trail, The Lir Academy promises an evening of creativity, discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the art of the stage.

• 7pm - 10pm Backstage tours of our performance and technical training areas (last tour leaves at 9.15pm)
• 7pm-10pm - display of props and set design in the foyer
  
• 7.15pm - 8.15pm -15 minute clinics with our CEO/Director Gemma Bodinetz. Come and ask any questions about drama training, theatre directing, being an artistic director, and more!
