GradFest26: The Moors
by Jen Silverman
On the eerie, savage moors live two sisters. While the eldest commands the household, the youngest spends her days writing in a diary or minding their dog - a great big mastiff filled with poetic longing. The sudden arrival of a governess and a moorhen disrupts their world and pushes them all to the edge of violence.
In this darkly comic play, Jen Silverman riffs wildly on the lives and works of certain 19th-century author-sisters, offering a queer perspective on love, repression, and human desire.
Running time approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes
