Set in the library of a British fee-paying school, Punk Rock explores the interaction, tension and violence amongst a group of teenage students preparing for their final-year mock exams. Rivalries, desires and anxiety feed into the mounting pressure on these young minds with the whole world ahead of them.

Punk Rock was first performed in 2009 at The Royal Exchange, Manchester, UK.

Please note that this play contains very adult themes and may be disturbing to some patrons.

Difficult subject matter, portrayal of challenging opinions, and the depiction of extreme situations are often the centrepoint of the drama of theatre and to explicitly outline them can undermine the experience of watching a play. If you would like an overview of the themes in this play, you can see those here. This play also contains loud noises and smoke.
