Kate Finegan leads our Physical Theatre Short Course taking place this March 2026
Physical Theatre is a course exploring the transformative techniques employed by the physical actor in performance. The tutor on the course is Kate Finegan, who works across many artistic platforms, including acting, aerial dance, physical theatre, writing/devising theatre and screenwriting.
Kate has toured nationally and internationally with companies and directors such as Dead Centre, Anu Productions, Fidget Feet, Mikel Murfi (Fíbín), Jennifer Jennings (THISISPOPBABY), Luxe Performance, Spraoi, Aerial Cirque and Fatale Events.

Kate has voiced national TV and radio campaigns such as AIB Future Sparks, FlyeFit, ESB Networks, Enterprise Ireland, Avondale, Tusla and An Post Mobile, among many others. Kate is also a fluent Irish speaker and has been voicing Irish animations for TG4 since 2015.
As an actor, feature film credits include TARRAC (2021), Joyride (2021) & TV credits: The Walsh Sisters, Fair City, RTÉ 2 ( Mia Murray) 2017 – 2020, and Ros na Rún TG4 ( Janice Ní Churraoin) 2014 – 2016.

Kate works as a freelance aerialist and collaborator and has performed aerial across the world, from Dubai to Nashville, Tennessee. Kate’s aerial dance work spans across many mediums including site specific, traditional theatre and film work.
