Plays at The Lir
Each year The Lir Academy produces at least eight plays featuring the final year acting students and managed by the final year stage management and technical theatre students. These plays are produced so that directors, agents, producers, stage managers, theatre technicians, theatre makers, writers etc can watch the talent on stage and take note of the talent behind the stage. These audiences are future employers and agents of The Lir Academy students.
The productions are also an opportunity to witness first hand the next generation of theatre makers.
Each year we also produce two showcases. One at The Lir Academy in Dublin and one at RADA in London. Invited agents and casting directors attend both showcases with the intention of adding new recruits to their client base.
