Technical Training Collaboration Continues in Senegal
Director of Technical Training and Facilities Management, Eve D'Alton visit to Senegal in April.
We are delighted to see the continued success of our technical training collaboration with Association Impact Sénégal. Supported by the Ambassade d'Irlande au Sénégal, the initiative recently marked another milestone with Eve D'Alton, The Lir Academy's Director of Technical Training and Facilities Management, travelling to Senegal in April.
This vital work builds on the foundation laid by Head of Lighting, Blú Hanley, during her visit to Dakar last year. You can explore more about Blú's month-long project here.

During her time in Dakar, Eve spent two weeks teaching at Association Impact Sénégal. This marked the second year of the English-strand technical training program, delivered in partnership between Association Impact Sénégal and The Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin, with ongoing support from the Ambassade d'Irlande au Sénégal.

Reflecting on the trip, D'Alton described it as an incredibly enriching experience, highlighting the immense talent and engagement of the young technicians she worked with.
"It was such an enriching experience working with amazing, talented and engaged young technicians."

We want to give a special thanks to to Amadou Fall BA for inviting The Lir Academy to be part of this impactful course, as well as to the Irish Embassy for their support of the partnership. Looking ahead, the shared goal remains to grow the program and continue promoting technical skills development in Dakar.
