Colm McNally is a set and lighting designer based in Dublin. A former DU Players Technical Manager, Colm works as Chief Electrician for the Gate Theatre. Design credits include set design for “Distance from the Event” (Irish Times Theatre Awards Best Set Design nominee 2013) and set and lighting design for “Monster Clock” for Collapsing Horse Theatre Company, set design for “Brothers Karamaszov” for Painted Filly Theatre, set design for The Life and Sort-of Death of Eric Argyle (winner of award for Best design at New York’s 1st Irish Festival 2013), production design for the Undergraduate Awards, lighting design for Maria Nillson Waller’s “Walker/Stream”, set and lighting design for “Pondling” as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival, set design for “The Lesson” by Eugene Ionesco in the Project Cube, as well as working as lead designer for all Sugarglass Theatre productions to date. In addition to this Colm also works as a production manager, in recent times production managing the “10 Days in Dublin” arts festival and the touring production of “Human Child” for Collapsing Horse Theatre. Colms work has been described as: “superbly designed”, “exceptional use of space” – Irish theatre Magazine and “too beautiful” – The Irish Times
