Mark Anthony O’Reilly is a Cavan-born, Dublin-based director, actor, writer and designer who graduated from TU Dublin Conservatoire’s BA in Drama Performance in 2019. Shortly after, Mark founded Melia Theatre Company, which debuted with a sold-out production of Robert Patrick’s The Haunted Host at Smock Alley Theatre. Melia recently presented Mark’s own play, The New Warrior, at the 2025 Scene + Heard Festival of New Work.

Mark was Assistant Artistic Director of Act Out Youth Theatre from 2017 to 2023, where he helped to direct multiple projects, alongside planning and delivering a programme of weekly workshops. Mark began working as a set designer for Story Horse Production Company’s RETCH at the 2023 Fringe Festival.

Mark’s varied background heavily features devising, with an emphasis on physically experimental, ensemble-based work.
