Overview

Tá Gaeilge agat. Bain úsáid aisti.

You learnt it in school, maybe kept it up in college, and you understand more than you'd admit. Then an Irish-language audition lands and your mind goes blank. You're translating in your head, apologising before you've spoken a line, and forgetting you're an actor.

This weekend changes that. It isn't a language class. Nobody will correct your grammar, and nobody will test you. For two days you'll act in Irish, using scenes from Irish language TV and film, with the focus on the one thing that gets you cast: whether the scene is alive.

The course runs bilingually. Every scene is played in Irish. Direction, notes, and discussion move between Irish and English, so you're never lost and never under pressure.

Who is this course for?

This course is for emerging actors who understand Irish and can hold a simple conversation, however rusty.
