Screen Acting - Over 35s - Level 2
10 weeks / 7pm - 9.30pm
This practical ten week course introduces students to the processes involved in successful screen acting and developing confidence in front of the camera.
Overview
This ten-week course, a continuation from Screen Acting - Level 1 course, will concentrate on further developing your acting skills for film and TV work.
If you have not completed the Screen Acting - Level 1 course but have acting experience, please do get in touch so we can assess that for a place on the course.
As well as fine-tuning the strategies developed in the introductory level course for meeting the demands of screen acting, students will continue becoming more familiar with the filming process, acting for camera, the equipment and roles of the crew members through further exploration and practice.
Suitable for aspiring actors who have already taken part in the Screen Acting - Level 1 course or have experience acting for screen.

About the tutor
Sarah-Jane is an actor and writer from Tuam Co Galway, working across screen, theatre and radio in both English and Irish language.
She studied Drama and Theatre Studies at Queens’ University, Belfast and then trained as an actor at The Oxford School of Drama. She spent a decade working as an actor in London, before returning to Ireland to start making her own work, as well as continuing to act.

Her own work includes: short film GHOSTED (2023, Screen Ireland Actor As Creator, directed by Jeda De Brí, Winner Spirit of The Festival at The Dublin International Comedy Film Festival) which she wrote, starred in and executive produced, enjoyed a national and international festival run. Her one person play APPROPRIATE (Winner Summerhall Lustrum Award @ Edinburgh Fringe, Winner Spirit of the Festival @ New York First Irish Festival) is in development as a feature film with EZ films.
