Diane is a charming permaculture gardener who overturns the sanitised peace of a New Jersey cul-de-sac.

Through a queering of the suburbs, she strives to cultivate a coven of housewives, restore the Earth’s natural balance, and avert a looming climate apocalypse. Because Diane is, in fact, the Greek god Dionysus in disguise.

But as the ancient being navigates the high-stakes world of granite countertops, artificial landscaping, and domesticity, Diane finds that conquering modern American suburbs might be harder than they expected.

Run time is 90 minutes with no intermission.

This amateur production of Hurricane Diane is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
