New Director of Technical Training and Facilities Management Announced
Our current Head of Lighting, Eve D'Alton has been appointed as the new Director of Technical Training and Facilities Management.
Our current Head of Lighting, Eve D'Alton has been appointed as the new Director of Technical Training and Facilities Management. Eve took up the post of Head of Lighting at The Lir Academy in 2017. In the last 5 years, she has worked closely with other talented staff members and practitioners in delivering world-class practical education, and student-led productions to a high professional standard.
Eve D’Alton first began working as a technician while studying for her BA in Drama and Theatre Studies in University College Cork. After further conservatoire training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, this progressed into a full time career that took Eve across the U.K. for over 13 years. After working as Deputy Technical Manager at Soho Theatre in London.
Eve will replace Barry Conway who has held the role of Director of Technical Training since the course was launched, initially as a two-year Professional Diploma, in 2012. We are looking forward to welcoming Eve to her new role.
