Liza Borghesani is an American-born and Dublin-based playwright and performer.
Her play GUTPUNCH was awarded the James E. Michael Playwriting Prize at Kenyon College, was a semifinalist at the Ojai Playwrights Conference, and a finalist at ThinkTank’s Theatre for Young Audiences Festival.
Select acting credits include Amina in Clare Barron’s Dance Nation and Jenny in Leslye Headland’s Assistance (Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward Award, 2024), both directed by Wendy Macleod.
Liza holds a BA in Drama from Kenyon College and is an alumna of the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. She received the Governor’s Medallion and was named a California Arts Scholar in 2019.
