Liza Borghesani is an American playwright and performer. She has been based in Dublin since 2024. Her play GUTPUNCH was awarded the James E. Michael Playwriting Prize. It was a semifinalist at the Ojai Playwrights Conference and a finalist at ThinkTank’s Theatre for Young Audiences Festival. Select acting credits include Amina in Clare Barron’s Dance Nation and Jenny in Leslye Headland’s Assistance (Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward Award, 2024). Liza holds a BA in Drama from Kenyon College and is an alumna of the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Ask her about her use of the word “dramaturgically.”
