Moya Noctor is a writer and actor from Kerry. She is this year’s recipient of the Patricia Leggett Scholarship.
In 2024, Moya graduated with First Class Honours from her Bachelor’s in Drama Studies and English Literature at Trinity. She completed a Literary internship with Fishamble: The New Play Company. She was selected for Fighting Words & The Gate Theatre’s programme Gateways, which culminated in a sharing of her work on the Gate stage. From October to December 2024, she interned with Glass Mask Theatre as Assistant Stage Manager on Stephen Jones’ play, From Eden.
In 2025, Moya wrote and performed her one-woman play Moments Alone, which premiered as part of the Camden Fringe Festival in July. Produced by ABLAZE Productions, this tragicomedy tackles endometriosis, medical misogyny, and loneliness. Moya and ABLAZE are dedicated to bringing this play to Irish audiences in 2026.
Moya’s poems have been published in Icarus Magazine and The Stony Thursday Book. She has performed in several short films and was recently selected as a Finalist in Stamford International Film Festival’s ‘Actress’ category for her performance in Naoise Devaney’s The Way I See You.
