Mado Chadebec is a visual artist, author, illustrator, stage designer and performer from France.
She graduated with honors from the European School of Arts in Angoulême in 2019, and studied
stage design at the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2017. Her writing credits include the play
Bravarde, written as her art school thesis, the choose-your-own-adventure comic Au Fil
d’Ariane, published with Rutabaga Editions, and the poetry zine Astérisé.e.s made for her solo
exhibition of the same name in Poitiers arts library.
Over the past few years, Mado has worked as a stage designer on Olympique by Lambert Riquier
and Paradoxos company (set and costume design), Les Enfants-Pierre by Alice Kudlak and
Quelque Refuge company (props making: masks and puppets), and Etnea by Amélie Gratias and
Chambre 2046 company (costume design). The joy of working on these productions has pushed
her to pursue this path and enter the MFA Stage Design program at the Lir.
